Wheel house too tight

Can a fish house be to air tight. What kind of vents would a guy put in to bring in fresh air. I have a suburban furnace vented to outside. It just recurculates the interior air. Maybe crack a window but that seems to defeat the purpose of all that nice foam insulation.

Yes you should always have so outside air source. I have 4 2" round vents in eace of the corners of the house and that has worked well for years but you could also crack the window to help too. If I am spending the night in the house the window will be cracked as a safety factor worst thing that will happend is you will burn more propane that is better that CO2 posioning.

I put in dryer vents with the flap removed on two sides of the house and stuffed them with coarse steel wool, on the inside I have a 1/2 round small wheel that will either cover the hole or open it. The reason for the steel wool in the vent is to slow down the air movement and keep the mice out in the summer.

Yes, it can. And looking at the news from the last week- 2 guys paid the ultimate price because of that.

I would have one vent on each side so you can get decent ventilation regardless of wind direction. Close to your heater is a good spot for one. Windows work for vents too, as long as they don't freeze shut and you forget about opening them.

I got vents from Winnebago surplus in Iowa. I think forest city is where they are located. But they are very nice vents for about $10-15 each. They have a nice areo style cover on the outside and a round cover on the inside. I put a flap over mine on the inside so I can close them down if wanted.

right now i am havin kinda the same problem but with moisture. i have two 3 inch vents and wow at night it looks like a old steam engine coming out of them. heating with the sun flower on low is easy but got to get rid of the moisture with same heater. any ideas besides a vented heater

I'm pretty sure the suburban has a combustible air intake vent that draws in air from the outside. Look at the outside vent, I believe there are 2 pipes. One for exhaust and one for fresh air intake.

You should not need to add air vents to your fish house. I know a few people that have them and they do not need to add the vents.

Anything with sunflower heaters etc., you do need them.

I would say your only choice to get rid of the moisture is a vented heater. A unvented propane heater will make moisture.

when we put our vented heater in it has 2 vents just like you said.we get no moisture in our house.we have 3 windows in a 8 x 16 shack
