"new" portable

My soon to be step father gave me his old portable ice house, it has a wooden floor and it folds in half for storage. Just wondering if anyone had a decent way to haul one of these around. My sled isn't big enough for and its kinda akward to carry for too long, just wondering if anyone had any neat ideas! Thanks!

I see a lot of guys who fabricate some sort of sled using old skis and a framework built out of 2x4/2x2.

It is 3x4 feet folded (about 5 in thick), I was thinking about the 2x4s and skiis idea just didn't know if people had other suggestions or pictures even? Thanks!

We haul a house bigger than that on an otter sled. Just bolt two boards onto the sled that are a little wider than the house. Put eyelets to tie house on. gear can go under the house.

I think minnow has the good idea there. That or due the ski thing, but what minnow said would be the easiest if you already have a sled.

That sounds like a great idea. I used to lay my 4x8 on top of my one man.

Otter sleds are cheap, and you can put all your gear in it besides your shack

I got my Shappel Jetsled XL for $40 on clearance at one time. They're lighter than Otters and have a nearly flat lip. It makes it easy to put oversized items on top of it levelled, but it makes it easy for it to slide off if not properly strapped down. But I like using two Jetsleds. I invert one on top of the other to keep snow out on those snowy days.

I've seen it done both ways and both ways seem to work really good. I've seen guys build a stretcher type thing and using 2x6s as skies. That cut through the snow really easy and had a lot of clearance. But if you use a sled you have the space underneath the fish house to put your gear.
