fire line 6 lbs. test WOW!!

Fire line crystal, this is some very good line, no stretch and very abrasion resistant. So tough that I had to post this. How do they get the six lbs. rating? I can't break this stuff, I can't bite it off. I have to grind it with my teeth when I forget my clipper, which is not very often thank god.The crystal is a great step forward for fire line, no more swivel to florocabon 6' leader to gig. Direct tie to lure, just as transparent as mono with the fire line performance.

Yep, I am a huge fan of the fireline. best fishing line out there in my Opinion. last year when they came out with the Crystal for ice fishing, i spooled up all my rigs with it. then this past summer I spooled all my summer rigs with it. i use everything from the 2 pound stuff up to the 20 pound stuff on some of my trolling rods

I tried the crystal and found it to be not much better than mono, other than stretch and coiling. I am a fan of regular fireline though. Crystal was weaker and not as abrasion resitant. With regular fireline, I cannot cut it with my teeth (when clippers were forgotten). Crystal on the other hand would cut easily.

I still wonder if the dark line scares fish though.

I love this stuff for open water, but I just took off the 4lb line I had on one of my ice rods as I've had too many issues with it freezing up. It's ok inside the shack with the heat, but I had too many issues when hole hopping.
