T-water
has anyone used the Edenpure spaceheater before. Thinkking about getting one to heat our upstairs next winter (baby on the way). Don't want to waste money, any feed back would be awesome.
boatfixer
Other than the nice looking console and the fact you cant come into direct contact with the element,(maybe good for you, with the little one on the way) I see no real advantage. All electric heating units are 100% efficient. That being said, 1 btu of electric heat will cost you the same no matter what heater you buy. They say you will cut your heating bill, sure you will but you will pay more for your electric bill. The best way to compare costs, would be to figure out how much you are paying per kwh vs your other heat source. When you consider the cost of this heater, you would have to operate it for an awful long time to justify the cost of this unit.
zent
I have two of these heaters and have no complaints. We put one in the concrete crawl space under our kitchen and haven't had cold feet walking on the wood floor since. We also have one in the lower level of our home that we use only when we are spending any amount of time down there.I haven't noticed any drastic increase to our power bill, my wife who is cold most of the time enjoys the added warmth. I like the fact that the grand babies can't get burnt when they touch the cabinet. Check pricing on line, I saved a few bucks when I bought the second heater. Hope this helps. Ryan Berger
I have one on my main level and the only time my furnace runs is when we open the front door,, saved about $150 in gas last month based on last year but used $100 more in electricity
