Hemlock
I don't want to compete with the gathering that is being put together by an FM sponsor. I think that has potential to be a great couple of weekends over at Camp Manitou. I do however want to see if there is still some interest in a walleye/lake trout weekend in the Kenora/Sioux Narrows/Nestor Falls area.I can get quotes on a non FM sponsor hotel in Kenora but I'd rather Muskie Bay chime in and see if we can't get them the business. Anyone still in the chase for this sort of weekend gathering? Again, Kenora is about 2 hours 20 minutes from either Baudette or I-Falls, and Sioux Narrows is an hour and a half, and Nestor Falls approximately an hour. King Canada
I would be very interested in this!
magnum mike
The Nestor Falls or Sioux Narrows idea sounds good. That extra stretch to Kenora and beyond makes for a long run on a short weekend trip for most anyone coming from the states especially the trip home on Sunday. Just my $.
Hemlock
Keep the feedback comin'....Are people interested in Lakers, or walleye/crappie or a combo?
Eastwind
Hemlock,Is Muskie Bay an FM sponsor? If they are, it's been kept a secret, as I've never seen any advertising for them on this site.
fishorgolf
I would be very interested. I personally would like to see a Crappie trip. Believe me I love the walleyes (see my location) but slab crappies on LOTW. priceless!
superbee
If you want to see everyone get excited, go after the lakers. I would think that it would be more fun to fish for trout as they aren't as readily available for everyone to fish and they fight so much more. I think a FM get together should be in support of FM sponsors, I see that Outfitter 17(FM sponsor) is working on doing just that. There are even walleyes and trout available at James Lake just a few miles from his camp. You don't know if you will get a trout or walleye out of your hole! I have fished the Manitou area alot from my cabin and there is excellent laker fishing in that area.

Outfitter17
Snakes,We are doing an FM get together on the weekends of Feb. 23 and Mar. 8. You can do 2 or 3 nights, it is mainly a trout trip, but you can also try for big NP. E-mail [email protected] if you have any questions. Check the Canadian gathering post lower on the page.I do have a group fishing for trout, but also going after big NP in later March if your group wants to go when they go, They are a friendly group of guys - the more fisherman the better for them.
