Honda Rancher 350 winter carb settings?

Does anyone adjust the carb on their rancher 350 to help it run/start better in the cold weather? I was thinking of going up one pilot jet size and adjusting the air mix screw.

Any advice would be great.

I have a 06 rancher and I havent done anything to it other than use Amsoil in it. I havent had any problems with it starting when out ice fishing. If you try this out and it works better let me know.

My '03 Rancher starts and runs tremendous even in the coldest weather on the original battery. That is after I discovered that it had a primer pump.

I have amsoil in it. I might need to just clean the carb, as it had not ran for a long time before I got it. The pilot jet might be dirty. Thanks for the input.

If it hasn't been run for a while it could be just bad gas. Ethanol gas will collect water and turn to dump after a month or 2.

I have a 2000 rancher 350 and an 07 400AT. Just pump the primer bulb and go. Mine fire up no matter how cold it is outside.

Where is the primer bulb/pump located?

On the bottom of the carb, accessed from the left side of the machine. It is a plunger that you pump a couple of times and then start. In cold weather it is the ticket. Mine only has a very short stroke, but it still does work just fine.
