Niagara Falls in the winter...

Recommended Posts

Yep it was nice trip, you could see the tv, fireplace, and the falls from the hottub! Had lunch with some friends and a top notch steak at a restaurant overlooking the falls. Never made it to the casino, was too busy...

A few of the tourist areas are too close to the falls and if the winds blows hard the right way they get mist which= ice.

Looks colder than it was. Temps were in the high 20's

Awwwww, how romantic. grin.gifblush.gifgrin.gif

I really like the second pic DC. Must be a visitor center of some sort down there? Looks cold, with all the shades of grey and white.

First ice is going good for this guy - 15"er and a 19"er last Friday, followed up with 12"er,19"er and a 22"er last night. I've only popped two holes with the Nils so far this year, re-opened those same holes last night. I like those kind of odds. cool.gif

Duff - Yep its a visitor center type area with a walkway up and down the river. Greedy icepricks charge 10$ to park there in the winter, but on the otherhand it is kinda worth it. Thats where the other picts were taken...

First ice(3 inches) pannies have been hot here. Been out twice this week with similar results - lots!

Have to weed through small ones but getting plenty of decent ones also. Gills and Schmittenbauers...
