I was wondering what you guys in the area are noticing about the patterns. What are the deers feeding habits ( what are they feeding most heavily on, what are you looking for, and what times?, what types of cover are both the does bedding, and bucks bedding in and how far from their food source? What types of setups are you having the best luck with ( funnels, field edge, bedding)? What type of foodplots seem to work best in this area? I would like to thank anyone who responds. I have found some pretty good, ( not all that pressured) locations, however I feel I'm just getting my feet wet again, for another season... Is there a hunt-a-long program for us newbs? confused.gif

Hey....Thats my area smile.gif

Here is one thing I have learned. When you think that you may be in an area alone or have just got exclusive access to hunt an area think again..they are everywhere. One property I was told that I was the only one allowed on the property. Within 2 weeks I found out two other guys were hunting it. They aren't hunting it anymore! smirk.gif This has happened at two places. I just got 50 more acres to hunt and I am again told that I will be alone...we'll see.

The deer move just like any other deer. Maybe some are more nocturnal...just a thought.

I can post more tomorrow, running low on time!

I know the feeling with the access issues! I have been seeing them near the edges of the tall grass swamps out by my place. They have been moving between pines and tall grass bedding areas to the feild to feed. Very little daytime activity. Luciantim, you know if you could use some company on that 50 acres I would be glad to help you out grin.gifgrin.gif

everything in my area on the camera has been at night. Did see a deer on the driveway where I hunt at 11:00 yesterday.

Locked my keys in my truck later when I went out to hunt so that wrecked my night.

I have had decent luck early mornings in seeing deer late season, after Christmas late. If you can handle the cold....

i also saw lots of deer early this year but once the guns started they went nocturnal.
