December 1st can't come soon enough. Lucky enough to draw a once in a lifetime elk tag for up in northwestern Minnesota. Only a cow tag but I am sure it is going to be one heck of a hunt. Never hunted a big game animal besides a whitetail. Got nine days to get her. Hopefully post back after the hunt with a great story and pics.

I'll be trying to get one of those tags in the next few years, so it's cool to know that they really do give them out. I hunted Elk in Idaho, but never got a chance to bag one. Although my hunting partners did...hmmm maybe I should've told him I wanted to shoot once in a while?

Good luck ducknt! Make sure you capture ALL aspects of the hunt as it will be something you never forget! Don't forget to pull the "ivory" out of the mouth for a great story piece.
