IT'S COMING! The ice should be walkable this weekend in the Morson area (Just a guess. I'll let you all know on Tuesday when I get home). With highs in the teens and negative lows for the next 5 days I bet I drill a hole this weekend. I'll be wearing my water wings and swim trunks but I'm going to try darn it!

Man, she got cold last night. -24 C (-12 F). With some wind. Lots of parts of the lake here froze up last night. This is good.

Clearwater is still open a little bit by Fantasy Island towards Ross' Camp. Clearwater doesn't matter a whole lot as it is mainly a travel across lake. It is not a real great fishery, especially in the winter. Off Lake has 2-3" of ice in most areas when I checked yesterday. I will probably start off with some crappies before the first of the year and then target some real fish (Lakers)! Jan 1 will be here very soon

Drilled a hole on Saturday night. 4" in our bay. AND it's cold and gonna stay that way for a while it looks like. We'll be sleding and fishing in no time. Actually, on Sunday night we saw 2 brave souls on snowmobiles go out on the ice. Not sure where they were going but I sure hope they made it.
