combine gets bear

Has anybody heard of this? A farmer was combining corn by Rollingstone MN. when the combine tire fell in a hole witch was a bears den. From what I heard was the bear was in there and trying to dig itself out. They called a co and he told them to shoot it. From the story I heard it weighted close to 300 LBs,and it was a male. Not sure if it was true or not.

There was a story with pics of this happening last year. I haven't heard anything about it this year again yet.

i've heard several times before of bears digging holes in corn fields thiking it would be a great place to spend the winter.

That was last year, and it actually happened in East Farmington Township in Wisconsin, contrary to what my friend told me who "knows the guy who was driving the combine by Rollingstone "

this exact thign happened to my uncle in brainerd, MN 2 yrs ago...the Co told them to shoot but he took the meat and let them have the rug...mean SOB he said!!
