Tire Size

I have a question about tire size. I have a new Honda with stock 25x8-12 on the front and 25x10-12 on the rear. The stock tires are not very good in the mud and I am afraid they will be even worse in the snow. How big of a tire can I put on this machine without modifications? I don't need huge tires but I was thinking of putting 26's or 27's on it and wanted to know before I ordered any online if I would need to modify anything if I chose a tire bigger than stock. Will a 26 or 27 fit on the stock rims?

Stock rims will work fine with larger tires. I'd suggest going with 26 inch tires. 27's could rub the fenders a bit at certain times of wheel travel.

I'm running 26X9X12 front and 26X12X12 rear

and only have about a ½" in front of the rear

wheels, I lost 3mph on the top end but most of

my riding is around 20 to 30 mph

This is on a '05 Rubicon
