bassNspear
As you all know, im from Minnesota. I am looking for a place next year to get a deer hunt together with a few of my friends here from MN. Where does everyone think a guy can start to look for a place to go in Nebraska. fishn4kids
How many people are you talking about? I'm from eastern Nebraska and now live in Mankato. What type of hunting are you doing. Bow, blackpowder,or rifle. I know some good state ground along the missouri river. I missed a monster 16 point there about 12 years ago. So it has really good genes in the deer around that area. Just let me know and i will try to help as much as possible.Duane
fishn4kids
Also, I would suggest the pine ridge state park in northwestern Nebraska. Great for mule deer, not sure about the white tail but i'm sure they are there. Just a couple thoughts.Duane

fishn4kids
I also know some farmers that did some lease hunting. They own a lot of ground. If you want i can give them a call this week, If its rifle, the state ground I mentioned (as any state ground) can be hazardous to your health if you know what I mean. If your not looking to pay, I would strongly suggest the pine ridge area in the Northwestern part of the state. If you are interested you can give me a call this week. HuskerBen
The Missouri valley has some monster bucks. I'm from the northeast corner of the state, and most of the adult deer 've seen coming out of that area are big, big deer (at least in body size). My uncle took an 8 point this weekend that weighed 240 lbs live. There are a number of public areas along the Missouri and the Platte rivers, although there will probably be other hunters in the woods during rifle season. Good luck to you. Hope you find a spot. Schwanny
Hey Jason, how the heck are you doing? I was thinking about doing the same thing next year in one of the five states west of here. I have some info from a an outfitter in that Pine Ridge area. I also had a post in the "hunting" section titled "Deer hunting out west". I might not get a chance to hunt out there next year, but I should have my homework done for the following year. I might just drive out this next fall and see what's available during the rifle season. I guess time will tell.

JustEnoughToEat
How hard do the WMA's get hit during the archery season?
Flatcoats
not, but you dont have the greatest age classes due to the smack down on them during rifle. But if your hunting bow, you might only see a truck or two on them.
