gun parts 30-06 model 742

I'm looking for a forearm for a 30-06 remington 742 carbine

it cracked and I have tried to glue it and it still cracks when you shoot it.

Your best bet is hsolist, with synthetic

Good luck, I had the same issue, took me months to find one,

I found it at a gunsmith, used but good condition.

Keep calling around and asking, because these you cant get parts for anymore so their are alot of scrapped ones out their.

On a side note a 7400 forearm won't work.

I sure love my old but good 742.

Try Ahlman's, Inc down in Morristown. They will have a replacement stock - they also have had extra/leftover stocks in their shop for many years as well. If you're within driving distance, it'd sure be worth the trip. Their shop is probably an hour south of Burnsville - 8 miles west of 35W down by Faribault.
