Handheld GPS: Color or not?

I heard that for ice fishing the color is better. It is faster since the unit is warmer due to the color, etc. So, if you have it mounted to a snowmobile or 4 wheeler it will be faster and easier to read. At least that is what I was told at Reeds. Summer time the black and white is better.

I would go color. I have an Expedition C. One question I have for the other guys that have an Expedition does your barometer read correctly. Mine has never read correct and was sent in 3 times and came back the same way not working. Other than that it works fine. If you get the Map Create and a Navionics chip you can't use the same card reader. You have to buy a Navionics reader also. I just wish the barometer worked, that was the main reason I bought the Expedition in the first place.

I have the color version and like it! If you guys want to save $ on these things rather than purchase one at a store do a google search and you can buy these units alot cheaper on line than in the store. I believe I paid $120 for my H2OC with no tax or shipping and handling.

You have to mean used for that price! I have been looking on the web and the best I have found without the MN lake maps is $229 online from Circuit City. I have decided that the H20c is the one I am going to purchase...just looking for the best price! cool.gif

Oops! Sorry I meant about $220! That was a typo. I went back and look at the reciept and I actually paid $211.95 . That include shipping, tax, etc. Actually there was no shipping cost. Check out tiger gps (Contact Us Please) com.

That is a good price...I'll have to check that out. Kind of waiting for the Christmas sales to see if anyone has a good deal!

Edited to add: I ended up ordering from the above retailer. Got the H20c and Minnesota Lakefinder map for $298 shipped! Should have it in a week.
