Blaze orange required for area not open to gun deer

Can anyone confirm this. In the regulation prior to this yr, it state that if you are bowhunting in an area that it close to deer hunting with a gun that blaze orange was not required. I was out bowhunting in such a area today and the co told me I needed to have blaze orange. We exchange a few opinions and then he allowed me to proceed to hunt today but next time for me to wear blaze. Unless that was changed this yr, before that it was not required.

Do it for your own peace of mind! Look back to the stroy of the bowhunter tht got shot earlier this year by a squirrel hunter. Dude, don't tempt fate! Put your orange on and hunt like the rest of us. I'd much rather see no deer because they saw me then see a ton of deer and get shot because somone thought I was a squirrel or a deer. Not worth the risk in my book! My .02.

Yes, it is still required. I've hunted many years on a state refuge where gun hunting is not allowed by law, only bow hunting. I have in the past seen and also heard other reports of gun hunters who just don't care and hunt the refuge land anyway.
