Would you consider this an addiction????

Just got a shipment of chubby darters in today, and was putting them in the box. SO, I decided to Count my lures. Between Jigging Raps and Chubbies I've Got 52 lures. With spoons like kastmasters, S pimples, Frostees, and others I've got 96. Then I started to get scared and figured I better not count all of the other lures that I had in the box or I'd get a stupid idea. Like not buying anymore lures. Starting to think my wife might be making a little bit of a point when she says "you got more fishing lures again" So tell me guys is this a norm or more like an addict. Do I need group meetings???? ooo.gif

You can never count lures and even worse is to think about how much money has been spent on your tackle box because as said earlier every lure has a time and a place. its not an addiction unless it causes you to miss work(unexcused), if thats the case then maybe meetings are good!!! grin.gifgrin.gifgrin.gif

I have a thing called a Roly Poly (I think) that was advertised years ago as a sewing kit. It is full of compartments and will roll out flat for access. I have that full of ice fishing lures and a smaller tackle box with four drawers that is also full of ice fishing lures. Maybe I should be worried. crazy.gifwink.gif

God didn't make all those tackle boxes to look purty on the store shelves. Holes are made to be filled, so keep buying lures and tackle boxes. You can never have enough, and that is a Fact.

I was thankful I had a few hundred ice lures. I don't bring them all with me, only a cpl of each kind in a smaller jig box. So I finished tying a new jig on, and had the box on my ledge in the shack. Somehow, I hit the box and watched about 30-40 lures float down 20ft below the ice. Yeah, that was depressing.

LOL, yeah, I went into panic mode at first seeing the gills were slamming that day and all I had was one jig for the whole day, which served me well, thankfully. But, what can you do. Makes for a good story on the slow days.
