GoggleEye
Cooter, I'm a cheesehead myself. Although I am living in St. Paul for a brief period, I am counting the days when I get to come back soon. I am still hunting in Wisconsin, but living over here has seriously cut down on my hunting time. Is that an Eau Claire area buck? Either way, it's nice! I haven't taken down a buck like that for 9 years!! Hopefully I can break that soon.... GoggleEye

Scott K
I hunt in northern Wisconsin for the rifle season, I hope to see a brute like this one in the woods. I seen one about that size last year, but never got in a clearing when I had my gun in my hands. This year, I have scoped the area out and havent seen any big bucks around, lots of does, and small racks, no bigguns thus far. Hopefully they are just waiting for gun season to show their faces to me!
GoggleEye
Not too many deer of that caliber running around up in northern wisconsin "pine needle dinner" country. Buffalo county is a whole different ball game. Wanderingeyes, if you saw a buck comparable to that one up in northern wisconsin, then you got a glimpse of buck of a lifetime up there!! I have hunted northern wisconsin for a while now and never seen anything even close to that buck....and that includes all the deer in the back of trucks on the roads leaving pine needle country. Good luck to you...especially if that buck you saw is still roaming around your hunting land. GoggleEye
Scott K
Google eye, I wish it was still roaming around, after it left me it made its way over to my neighbors about 30 minutes later, I heard the shot, I knew then it was that buck! He was nice enough to come over that evening and tell me all about it, and ask why I didnt shoot it, because it came right from where I was! He said it was the biggest buck he has seen in the woods, it was the biggest I have seen since I started hunting in Wisconsin!
