Gun lock problems....<<<<<<<<<<<<<HELP>>>>>>>>>>>>

GotOne

Question

I bought a new scope last wknd at the big retailer in Owatonna. Went to the range to site it in today and the trigger lock that they put on the gun it still on it. I called them and they told me to drill it out. Anybody try this before? Anything I should worry about before I try? Don't really have time to drive to Owatonna if don't need to. Thanks.

I didn't want to twist anything around the trigger so I drilled it out. It worked, back to the range tomorrow. Saved me a trip and money (couldn't go back without spending more) smile.gif

I just had this same thing happen to me at Dick's Sporting goods in Minnetonka. Got my gun home and trigger lock from the store was still on with no key to unlock it. I drilled it out. Wonder what's going on????

When you bring your gun into Cabela's, they put the lock on at the service counter. By the time I picked out my scope and they mount it (for free), you also shop a little....will by the time I left, I forgot about it. You pay for the scope back in the gun department so it's easy to forget about. Thanks god I had to site it in before opener. It would of been a son of a gun to get to dear camp and pull the gun out in the morning and find it locked.
