license ?

Lets say you have hunting ground in zone 1, area 184 and zone 2 area 209. Both of these areas have intensive harvest opportunities. I understand with a regular license I can only shoot a buck in one of the two zones. Does a multi zone and all season license allow me to use the intensive harvest permit in either area?

Also, my sons 1st license this year. Does he have the same restrictions as an adult. someone told me he can harvest 1 deer, regardless of what zone or area but must be in that season. Hopefully you understood all this. I have read the books and cant seem to find info. Thanks. To summerize, I need the abilty to shoot a buck in either zone with the ability to use a intensive harvest permit in either area.

all season license is the multizone with the addition of archery and muzzleloader. all three licenses are statewide, wherever there is an open season. however, intensive harvest permits are valid in any zone only where they may be used. some zones dropped to managed zones, where only two deer can be taken, and others are lottery areas, where you would had to have applied for an anterless permit to shoot a doe. the map at www.dnr.state.mn.us/hunting/deer/index.html shows what all zones are Yes, you can use the multizone and all season to purchase intensive harvest, as the intensive harvest isn't zone specific

The $26 dollar zone license has always been that way and it won't change. If you want to hunt 2 (or more) zones, you'll need either a multi-zone buck or all-season license. If you have killing options in intensive deer areas (looks like you do), I'd suggest the all-season because it comes with 3 tags. The multi-zone is buck only, one tag. Some might argue it's obsolete and should be eliminated smile.gif

So, I'd strongly suggest you not buy a zone 1 license and hunt zone 2 because you'd be hunting without a valid license. That would be a lot more expensive than just buying an all-season license.

I hope that clears it up.
