Remington
We are in 72 and are really pumped. I watched the moose calling video again last night and just can't wait to be out there. Good Luck and Be Safe!

bubs
good luck to all of you that are going this year. it looks like they should be in full rut. calling should be great if the wind stays calm.
89Bronco
I may be staying at a bunkhouse near the moose loop road, but I'm still waiting on a confirmation. If that doesn't work out, I may be staying at the same campground as you, or the Echo Lake campground. If that doesn't work out, then I'm just camping out in the back of my truck on one of the turn-offs...a blue Dodge Dakota with a black topper and the Ruger stickers on the side. It's all good to me. If I see you, I'll stop by and maybe we can share a coffee, pop, or beer and compare notes.
doc
We hunted Zone 28 Saturday with no luck. Lots of wind made for difficult calling. We managed to call in a couple timber wolfs but that was it. Pull out today because of the rain. Anyone have any luck?
hoggs222
I just spoke with my roommate. He got around a 900 lb. bull out of zone 21 today around noon.
89Bronco
BigDrift, Did you guys get one? I never made it to your campsite...was always coming out in the dark and was too tired and hungry, so I'd head right for the sleeping quarters. Hope you had luck. I saw a massive bull (I keep calling it a "postcard bull" to my friends) on the first Tuesday and ended up with a small bull on the second Saturday. After packing out the meat, I am glad it was a small one. Thanks benelli_dude for the tips!
big drift
Yep I got one Sunday evening of opener, 37" lemme tell ya they are good eating. How did the older gent from Cook do did he ever get one? bd
89Bronco
If you are talking about whoever was driving the white truck from Cook, I'm not sure. I never saw him. I know I heard him calling for a few days in a row and I saw his truck parked at the same clearing this past Sunday, so I'm guessing that guy didn't get one yet. I saw a lot of sign in that Lake Jeanette clearing I was hunting when you saw me, and I even saw the back-end of one that first Monday in there, but I moved closer to the other end of the zone. No hunters down there. That's where I got mine. The guy from Melrose that I met at the place I rented out was coming back this week, so I know he didn't get one yet. Good job!
