Gissert
Hey Grabs! Have you had your fill of fish and chips yet?I spent a month in Manchester in January of '97. I had some pictures with of fishing on LOW. They took one look at the bomber and thought we were absolutely nuts.
Scupper
Gissert, we have a business meeting up at LOWevery year. 3 years ago we had two fellows from England attend. They thought they were in the Arctic. After the bomber dropped us at differant shacks,( HUTS as the brits refered to them) they found it fasinating that people could or would fish through the ice. They also called it "TUBE FISHING" hence the thickness of the ice.I think they bought every disposable camera in the resort as they were certain that no one at home would believe there fishing tales from America. They also were not to sure about people living in a place that reached minus 24 degrees F one morning. I remember one of them muttering something as too " "we must be out of our bloody *%#&ing minds. He flew out of International Falls the next day and has not been back. The other fellow still attends and thinks were nuts as well. But he looks forward to TUBE FISHING. Good Luck...
