Steve Foss
Headed out on the Pow Wow Trail today near Isabella Lake and the 'shrooms were all over the place after this heavy rain. All with the Canon 30D and Canon 100 f2.8 macro. Some also were shot using Photoflex LiteDisc pop-up diffusers and/or reflectors to cut harsh sunlight or fill shadow areas. These collapse into discs about 4 inches in diameter to go inside the zipper bags and pop up to about 12 to 16 inches across (haven't measured them). They weigh almost nothing and take up little room in the bag but are inexpensive and VERY handy. gem-studded puffball in wintergreen iso400, 1/50 at f7.1, handheld forest funnel cap from above iso160, 1/15 at f11, tripod, remote shutter release unidentified iso400, 1/3 at f11, shot from crumpled fleece pullover for rest, remote release bleeding fairy helmuts — soulmates I shot this at the shallowest DOF possible to give it a dreamy look. Only the front bottom edges of the mushroom caps are sharply in focus iso400, 1/40 at f2.8, handheld braced against ground
Dbl
Excellent work Steve, lighting is beautiful on these. I own a few of the pop up reflectors, they are extremely handy!
