Knot Suggestions

I'm going to be making up some stingers for jigs using a co-polymer line. Any ideas on what knot to use for attaching the stinger to the jig?

I found a couple fast snaps in my ice tackle box and made some stingers using them. I am always going from stinger to no stinger and the fast snaps are easy to attach and unattach, and you don't have to cut line and retie.

I'm no knot expert, but i've had good luck with the uni knot, simple knot and it works with all types of line.

Mark just use that snell knot I showed ya to the hook and then one of the snaps above to your jig. Tie the snap on with a trilene knot found on their packs.

I'll have to get some of those snaps. But it won't be for a while. For now I'll have to tie directly to the jigs.

Is using a stinger hook legal on a jig ? I have some in my tackle box but have not used them in this state. From reading some posts in the past I thought the rule of thumb was to have some type of spinner blade a few inches above the bait to be considered a lure. Then lures could have multiple hooks on them. Or do we consider jigs in the simplest forms lures ?

Jigs are lures amd can have stingers.

I would use a snell knot or improved cinch knot or palomar knot on the hook, and an improved cinch knot or palomar knot on the jig.
