LaCrosse EXTREME PFT - 14'' 1000 GRAM MOSSY OAK BRE

"This lighter weight - 150 F model is built with beefy insulation, extreme outsole for traction in glacial conditions and extra precautions like Precision Fit Technology™ that cradles your feet and puts two full inches of comfort between your toes and the frozen ground. Basically, so you're not kept on the couch by something as trivial as 10 feet of snow."

Got a pair these last year. Don't think the toes will ever be cold in them. Not exactly 'walking' boots but for ice fishing they are awsome. A little expensive but I think you get what you pay for.

Cheers, ? for ya. Do you have sweaty feet? I couldn't find a pair of boots that would keep my feet warm for "love nor money". I'd ALWAYS end up with a soaked liner and COLD feet. I figured out, that the soaking wasn't from leaky boots, it was from my sweat and that's what got COLD. When that happened, I was done. AS SIMPLE as it may sound, I put on some LIGHT socks, slipped on some 13 gallon Glad trash bags over them and put on my Icemans. I went out on the ice just like I was tempting fate and my feet wouldn't get cold. Now, I VERY comfortably sit with my feet ON the ice for 8 to 10 hours with NO complaints. I'd recommend that you carry a set of replacement bags, as you WILL know real quick if one of your trash bags has a hole in it! Also, I'd STRONGLY recommend an extra good foot scrubbing in the daily shower!! It's a cheap try, I hope it works for you. Phred52

Mickey Mouse boots are no question the warmest boots out there. They last what seems like forever and they're a fraction of the price of a good pair of Lacrosse boots. Go to the St. Paul Winter Ice Fishing Show. There is a guy there every year that sells military surplus stuff and always has good deals on mickey's.

Sometimes I don't think it has as much to do with the boots as it does the socks...

I mean I wear mid grade Rockys... They do the job rather well on their own... But if I've got low grade socks on, I can get cold toes... High grade socks that have a lot of air in them, keep my toes completely warm... Too Warm of a sock = Sweat, and it's all over... Too Cold of a sock and the insulation factor gets the toes cold...

It really took a lot of tweaking to come up with just the right sock combo for the way my fee sweat.

Ironically... The best sock for my feet... $4.99 at Gander Mountain!

(Contact Us Please) near lost my toes in the $25 pair I had!

Very true about the socks...part of the consideration as feet perspiration goes...activity...If I have to hike a ways pulling my sled full of things, it changes the type of footwear I have to use...I do require a lot of moisture wicking properties as so far as part of the insulation from the cold. So good quality moisture wicking wool socks are very beneficial to me. I've given up on the thermal socks made of cotton. Works great for lounging and being still but no so good for a lot of activity.

Very true...

In fact the stupidest thing I ever did was put those footwarmer pads in my boots, with wool socks and then drag my buddys house by hand for over a mile on the ice.

Feet were so wet with sweat from work and the hot pads, that when the hot pads died down I suffered all day. (Walk back to the truck in the cold dead of night was a living HELL!)

Later I had another trip with the heater pads, where we just drove up put up the house and sat there... Once again... Sweated and cold...

I refuse to use them now!

    • It’s done automatically.  You might need an actual person to clear that log in stuff up.   Trash your laptop history if you haven’t tried that already.
    • 😂 yea pretty amazing how b o o b i e s gets flagged, but they can't respond or tell me why I  can't get logged in here on my laptop but I can on my cellular  😪
    • I grilled some brats yesterday, maybe next weekend will the next round...
    • You got word censored cuz you said        B o o b ies….. haha.   Yeah, no… grilling is on hiatus for a bit.
    • Chicken mine,  melded in Mccormick poultry seasoning for 24 hours.  Grill will get a break till the frigid temps go away!
    • we had some nice weather yesterday and this conundrum was driving me crazy  so I drove up to the house to take another look. I got a bunch of goodies via ups yesterday (cables,  winch ratchet parts, handles, leaf springs etc).   I wanted to make sure the new leaf springs I got fit. I got everything laid out and ready to go. Will be busy this weekend with kids stuff and too cold to fish anyway, but I will try to get back up there again next weekend and get it done. I don't think it will be bad once I get it lifted up.    For anyone in the google verse, the leaf springs are 4 leafs and measure 25 1/4" eye  to eye per Yetti. I didnt want to pay their markup so just got something else comparable rated for the same weight.   I am a first time wheel house owner, this is all new to me. My house didn't come with any handles for the rear cables? I was told this week by someone in the industry that cordless drills do not have enough brake to lower it slow enough and it can damage the cables and the ratchets in the winches.  I put on a handle last night and it is 100% better than using a drill, unfortatenly I found out the hard way lol and will only use the ICNutz to raise the house now.
    • I haven’t done any leaf springs for a long time and I can’t completely see the connections in your pics BUT I I’d be rounding up: PB Blaster, torch, 3 lb hammer, chisel, cut off tool, breaker bar, Jack stands or blocks.   This kind of stuff usually isn’t the easiest.   I would think you would be able to get at what you need by keeping the house up with Jack stands and getting the pressure off that suspension, then attack the hardware.  But again, I don’t feel like I can see everything going on there.
    • reviving an old thread due to running into the same issue with the same year of house. not expecting anything from yetti and I already have replacement parts ordered and on the way.   I am looking for some input or feedback on how to replace the leaf springs themselves.    If I jack the house up and remove the tire, is it possible to pivot the axel assembly low enough to get to the other end of the leaf spring and remove that one bolt?   Or do I have to remove the entire pivot arm to get to it? Then I also have to factor in brake wire as well then. What a mess   My house is currently an hour away from my home at a relatives, going to go back up and look it over again and try to figure out a game plan.           Above pic is with house lowered on ice, the other end of that leaf is what I need to get to.   above pic is side that middle bolt broke and bottom 2 leafs fell out here is other side that didnt break but you can see bottom half of leaf already did but atleast bolt is still in there here is hub assembly in my garage with house lowered and tires off when I put new tires on it a couple months ago. hopefully I can raise house high enough that it can drop down far enough and not snap brake cable there so I can get to that other end of the leaf spring.
