is it to close to the season to go find a spot

Recommended Posts

i already have a few spots i liked in public land and kind of have like 10 different places i picked out to be able to set up depending on different wind directions and in case these places are occupied. theyre on CARLOS AVERY WMA

i want to actually go place 10 20 30 and 40 yard markers is it too late to do that?

Will my scent still be there on opening day of bow season?

if anyone wants to share some hot spots with me let me know. im not out there for a monster buck im out there to harvest some meat... actually the main reason is to get my brother to harvest his first deer.

You have plenty of time. I would not hesitate. I have a couple spots as I live only 5 minutes from a few spots. I still have to get out scouting I usually do most of my pre season the first week of Sept.

I've moved stands during the bow season and increased the amount of deer that I see. Thats why I like portable stands, easy up, easy down. You will need to put it off the beaten path though. You don't want the deer to have to walk under or around your stand, they shouldn't know its there.
