harvey lee
While picking Menard and seeing he was having a great run and then-motor problems. Boy, DEI has some serious issues, but I'm sure Jr. is glad he is leaving. Like the announcer stated, what wrong with thier motors?? Truex had to change his engine and start last. Truex will be lucky if he even stays in the top twelve. The last thing he needs right now is another bad motor again.
LMITOUT
I've got Truex and Kenseth in my league. Go Martin!
PierBridge
Harvey I'm assuming you disagree with Jr that DEI has the fastest motors by far especially on the straight aways?
lawdog
Truex got 2nd with his pathetic DEI car/motor. Maybe they aren't that bad????
harvey lee
Not saying they dont have speed. Only question is, when do they blow up. Again today and last Saturday, 2 more motors. Yes they are fast but they have issues going the full race. The announcers even said, what is wrong with those motors. Jeff, they are bad and he was lucky to get to the end. Look at thier history this season.
PierBridge
That makes sense Harvey, Jr even took part of the blame himself he sure is a stand up guy I know Pops would be proud of him for sure.
HOF#13
They have also had issues with the oil lines pumps as well. Both Truex and Mark Martin had to repair / replace the oil lines (and maybe pump) prior to the race being run. So out of the 4 DEI cars - 3 had motor / oil issues going into, or during the race, and Jr. had to change a transmission. Only 2 of their cars were able to finish the race - 50% is not too good considering they weren't accident related. I will say this though....Jr. was fast down the straightaways. He never lost ground on that part of the track. When Menard and Martin had their issues, I was just waiting for Truex and Jr. to go next. Luckily it didn't happen....this time. Something is definately wrong with the DEI powerplants. I don't know if they are running the DEI / RCR motors full time yet or not, but Jeff Burton did blow a motor in the first practice session at Michigan too. LMITOUT
Are they running the new R07 Chevy engines yet? They were supposed to be the latest and greatest re-design of the Chevy engines.
HOF#13
I think that maybe Martin and Menard were, but I'm not sure. After the race, on Direct TV Hot Pass, Tony Eury Jr. stated that they were going to run the R-7 this weekend, but would have to re-think that plan now.
