Guest Onboard Charger Just Quit?

AJ

Question

My 2-bank, 10 amp Guest on-board charged just quit. No LEDs, no output. Unit is 6 years old. Any ideas as to what happened or how to fix? Both banks were connected to my 24V system. Thinking there is some fuse or re-set button I may be able to adjust? Thanks.

Call Guest, and ask for SueD. She unfortunately is on the laid off list, but not sure if she is gone yet. She is top notch and would help you.

Otherwise, on our Guest units there are fuses inline on the hot wire, but I would think you would at least still see red lights showing up. It could just be toast. Maybe Guest will have some sort of rebate for you if it is not as easy as a reset button somehwere.

Good luck,

The ones I've seen are fully sealed/potted and are not field repairable. No external fuses (except maybe in the battery leads) and no accessible adjustments.

Some OB chargers, when they detect a battery fault, will shut off and not recycle until disconnected from the batteries and from 120V power.

I'd totally disconnect it, give it a few minutes, then try hooking it up again - possibly to different batteries as a test.
