Dog days of August

What's everyone's thoughts for August fishing in this heat? Where can you find fish? Feeding patterns? Presentations? I figure a "what's working now" post will be up soon, but maybe we could knock this around for a few days now at the beginning of August...

I caught 18 fish 2day, all but 2 were shallow.(trees/docks) Caught 2 in 6' on a bunch of rocks, on a A.T. mushroomhead, and a pulse worm. Oh and a 16" walleye, that was pretty cool. Biggest was 18 1/2". Fun day.

Let's see on Monday I caught 2 on the outside weedline pitching a jig and pig (Yum trailer) and 1 was 18.5"

I go out to a different lake yesterday and caught a 8" bass and had one on that was even smaller.

I did miss some blow ups in the pads though at dusk:(

Well, day to day---lake to lake, things change.. Yesturday I fished out little Fun Bass League and for 5 fish had 91" all caught on Crankbaits... today, couldn't buy a bite on a crankbait or anything else for that fact... But then again, I was on a different lake as well.. LOL

I was out on tonka today, didnt get one fish under a dock. Caught everything in the 10-18 FOW mark.

why you gota be like that. Not everyone can just go out fishing everyday becuase they have nothing else to do. I love you.
