Genofish
Not sure what kind of weed or grass this is. It is very thick and has a shallow root system. Its kinda growing on the top of the soil. It showed up a couple of years ago and has continude to expand in differnt areas of the yard.It orginaly started in a area where i reseeded over my old horse shoe pits. Any ideas?? Genofish
Does this spread and how do you get rid of it?? I could dig it out and reseed.
LABS4ME
Almost looks like bent grass. The pic isn't quite clear enough. It usually has a bluish hue to it. Are you a golfer? We see it a lot in lawns of people who are golfers. Same grass as used on putting greens. No matter what it is, you can dig it out or spray it with round up, some good topsoil and seed this fall and you'll be back in business.Good Luck!Ken

hotrod1
It could be bentgrass. Have you sprayed any broadleaf herbicide over that area? broadleaf herbicide can kill bentgrass. When i worked on a golf coarse, we had similar looking spots on fairways and it turned out to be rough bluegrass. we sprayed round-up and sodded over the spots.
