To whom ever bought it!!! Fill out and send in the warranty card!!!! If you use this motor at all you will need it. On the second brain board in three years.

You will love the motor however. MinnKota just needs to get ALL the bugs worked out.

Chris,

We have been using a vantage for 4 years until about 3 weeks ago when my dad forgot to hit the up button... To make a long story short, it is in the bottom of a lake due to the mounting bracket busting!!! These motors are in such high demand that you can't find them anywhere!!! That was until I checked FM and Valv had a new one for $200.00 less than anywhere else. cool.gif

They have one on hsolist right now and it is a $350 but it says it does not go up and down but motor runs. Would that be the "brain board" and if so how much would it have cost you? Might not be a bad deal if the board isn't too ridiculous.

Eyes

Don't get me wrong. Just making sure that if you had no such experience with them that you are covered. They are a great motor and Minnkota stands behind them well. Just trying to head off any heartache with the service center if you need service on it.

I heard those motors break off once you hit 35 mph or so..

Eyes', whats up with the way the guy in the back of the boat is holding his rod in your avitar? Is he making sure his guides are straight or really concentrating on looking for a nibble?

Yeah I would say that the 35 mph is about right!!! I'm just glad it wasn't me who did it!!!

The guy in the back was trying to catch a fish... I think he caught 1 fish that day!!! We had to listen to a ton of crying!!! It was the day you and your dad were out there...
