FishinFix
Fishing was awesome in the Algoma area this weekend. Fish were coming from all depths, with 150' being the best for us. Flasher and flys along with spoons and triple threat three fly rigs. Most of the fish were 15-20 lbs (nice ones).Cheffrey,I see you already got the report from Capt. John. Tom Linderholm
Fishin Fix, thanks for the report. I fished league in Duluth with Heidi and John last year. Great folks and great tackle, that opti stuff really has it's place. I just got off the phone with a friend who was in Kewaunee this weekend and they slammed them in 80-140 FOW. Spoons were dead though. Guess Marine General better get prepared for some flasher/fly shopping.
tunrevir
You guys ever run J-plugs out there? We usually get a couple fish each year that hit the J's and they are usually the bigger kings. We never really fish the fly/dodger combos pretty much all spoons and J's. I was also wondering if anyone has ever fished the big flat fish later in the year more towards fall?Tunrevir~
Quickstrike
Never been out there late in the year to use the flat fish, but have had success on both flasher fly combos and j plugs. Last year we didn't hit much on j plugs but did really well on them the year before. It seemed flashers and flies in greens and blues were the ticket last year as well as glow spoons in a few different colors.
