Radke
I'm heading up to Lac Seul next week.Does anybody know if the Satellite Radio (XM or Sirrius) works up there?I'm thinking about buying a portable system so that I can get some reception other than the 1 canadian channel.I don't want to make the purchase if it won't work.Any comments or advice would be appreciated. Lakeside
We used XM last year at Chamberlin Narrows. We had to put the antenna outside the cabin, and point it low in the sky, but it worked great. I've got the MyFi unit, so we had to "broadcast" from the XM reciever to an FM radio. (Didn't have any problem finding an open frequency). Plan on doing the same thing again in just 5 days!Radke, where are you going to be?JR

Radke
Heading up Saturday for a week. We are down by Hudson. The resort itself is actually on Lost Lake, but we make the runs further North several days depending on weather.I need to get out my map because I can't remember where Chamberlin Narrows is. magnum mike
I brought mine to our camp 60 air miles north of Ignace last month and it worked great. We listened to the Stanley Cup games. I also have the MyFi system which plays through any FM radio. You need a clear view of the southern sky (no trees, buildings, etc..) for any satellite system to work properly.
