Something you don't see everyday

Got out on the water last night with Aanderud. As we are sitting there I hear a sound not like a river boat, and around the bend comes a couple of PWC's at about 50mph!

We watch them go by give a friendly wave.

Here's the kicker. They were CO's grin.gif

They made it around the next bend and we hear them motor down and we knew they were coming back to spot check.

Nice to see them on the water.

Quite the crafts they were driving though smirk.gif

Did they end up checking you? They got money for those but you can't get a boat in the river at the Belle Plaine boat landing. Leroy Chard of Chard Excavating offered to clean it out but they said there might be a problem with silt getting into the river....OMG confused.gif

I just took a little drive down there to see how it looks. An attempt has been made to clean it out...you can now get a very small boat in if you jackknife your trailer at the bottom. A canoe would be a better bet. Its a poorly designed ramp to say the least.

(Anyhoo) Another thing you don't see too often along the river. I was sitting on the bank in the middle of nowhere last summer when I heard one heck of a rackit coming from downstream. Two ultralight aircraft flying just off the water. These things weren't much more than motorized kites with go-cart wheels on um..very fun looking!

Ralph Have you been checked in Kandiyohi County for fish lisence yet? The county sheriff water patrol on PWCs does it most of the time.I wonder where COs are now that there are two.

Not yet this year. I haven't seen them on PWCs on Games. The COs and sherrifs I normally see are in boats.

yep, they checked us.

I know Scott Carlson is a CO in the area and I asked if either of them was him........they both said in unison, "he's out boss"

The one guy told me that the PWC's were 1200cc.

How about the guy that was coming upstream at us on waterskis near Shakopee. Freakin' nuts!

They probably had no clue what lurks right below the surface of the water in some areas.
