I won't be doing the cat league. Bob asked me too but I'm just not good enough yet. Once I get used to it, perhaps i will in the summer.. I plan on launching around 5 this Friday so I'll keep an eye out for you. I'm in a Blue tracker so if you see me, don't be shy!!

Blue Tracker Aye, I'm in a red silver Lund Pike with a black merc. Good luck mate. I'll keep my eyes peeled

thanks

I'm heading out somewhere with Marc tomorrow, but Friday/Saturday I'm taking off from the fishing to appease the other half.

Hope to fish at least one of Bob's tourneys this year. When is the July one, anyone got a date yet? Entry fee is pretty reasonably priced. How many ppl usually fish those?

You guys should have a pretty good time tomorrow. Keep an eye on the weather.

Not sure of the exact date. Myself and Dtro help him coordinate to avoid conflicts with other cat events, we will let you know as soon as its set

As far as numbers? I'm thinking the most we ever had was around 20 maybe a few more. Dtro correct me if I'm wrong. Looks the teens or close to that this time. Its a lot of fun when you get a lot of people in on and you can text the updates thru the night.

I don't think a date has been decided upon yet, as far as I know.

These are a lot of fun, not big money but yet a little competition and camaraderie.

Anyone on the fence should give it a try.

Oh, definitely. I'd spend the 10 bucks if I wasn't hitting the pond for 'eyes on Sunday. I mean heck, if you go to a movie on Sat night it'll cost ya 8+ at most theaters, and that's if you go alone! What the heck, the competition just gives a little more of an excitement factor to the fishing I spose. I'm game for the July event if I'm not busy the following Sunday! smile.gif The carpeye bite on the pond slows down quite a bit anyway by mid July smile.gif

If you saw how many outlets I have for plugging in 12v you would laugh. And after you saw my inverter with AC outlets you will probably start crying.

No laptops on the water. I've managed to just about loose one of everything over the side..... I can't even contemplate how I would explain something like that to anyone else...... Much less myself.

I'm gonna need a hook up to NSP......pretty soon.

Mpls has WIFI now and I can tap into local WIFI signals. I tried it at Mille Laces last winter with out success. I have thought about it and possibly going to try to get out with lap top on Miss and MN soon. With my new Nikon and tapping into WIFI, I could broadcast from boat in real time if I had a real time host. I could put up to minute stuff on U tube. I think you are going to see this stuff coming soon to our realm.

Next cool step is GPS tracking cell phone signals with my new cell phone.

Possibly with in year, I will have laptop, cell phone and matrix fishing system (with gps) networked together on boat.

Scary, but cool cool.gif !

It can be done.. hehe.. It can be done now actually.. With sprint, you get the highspead wireless phone card and use your camera to videotape the catch/action and instantly upload.. its doable.. tongue.gif

Sprint card cost ching or minutes. grin.gif. WIFI is free and redally available, if you tap in.

There is still a hitch in "LIVE" video to video feed. You need a site host to upload it and host it. I know it can be done, but were?

Actually with the sprint PCS card, you only pay for the card.. Access to highspeed internet is unlimited minutes

    • got this tackled today took about 3 hours to get both sides done. Didnt even get to use a torch....   Thought I was golden with just jacking it up and I could get to everything but no luck. Had to remove the entire axle hub and brake assembly to get to what I needed. Was a pain but still better then taking off the entire pivot arm.    Axle bearings were already greased and in great shape thankfully. Got both leaf springs installed and its ready for the road again.   Probably going to have my electric brakes checked, I am not touching anything with the brake drums. Based on what I saw it doesn't look like my electric brakes have been working anyway. Brakes are nice to have if its slippery out
    • By The way that didn't work either!! Screw it I'll just use the cellular.
    • It’s done automatically.  You might need an actual person to clear that log in stuff up.   Trash your laptop history if you haven’t tried that already.
    • 😂 yea pretty amazing how b o o b i e s gets flagged, but they can't respond or tell me why I  can't get logged in here on my laptop but I can on my cellular  😪
    • I grilled some brats yesterday, maybe next weekend will the next round...
    • You got word censored cuz you said        B o o b ies….. haha.   Yeah, no… grilling is on hiatus for a bit.
    • Chicken mine,  melded in Mccormick poultry seasoning for 24 hours.  Grill will get a break till the frigid temps go away!
    • we had some nice weather yesterday and this conundrum was driving me crazy  so I drove up to the house to take another look. I got a bunch of goodies via ups yesterday (cables,  winch ratchet parts, handles, leaf springs etc).   I wanted to make sure the new leaf springs I got fit. I got everything laid out and ready to go. Will be busy this weekend with kids stuff and too cold to fish anyway, but I will try to get back up there again next weekend and get it done. I don't think it will be bad once I get it lifted up.    For anyone in the google verse, the leaf springs are 4 leafs and measure 25 1/4" eye  to eye per Yetti. I didnt want to pay their markup so just got something else comparable rated for the same weight.   I am a first time wheel house owner, this is all new to me. My house didn't come with any handles for the rear cables? I was told this week by someone in the industry that cordless drills do not have enough brake to lower it slow enough and it can damage the cables and the ratchets in the winches.  I put on a handle last night and it is 100% better than using a drill, unfortatenly I found out the hard way lol and will only use the ICNutz to raise the house now.
