Need some help here fellas

Wiskers

Question

I am in a bad way looking for a gimbal bearing for my Mercruiser. Any one have any contacts or know of salvage yards or wear house for older mercruiser parts.

I need a gimbal bearing for a 1966-1969 Mercruiser 80 series sterndrive. This is is a very odd bearing. It is held in the houseing with a rubber gimbal housing. Merc # is 38188. Any help would be greatly appreciated. With out this part my 1970 20 foot Crestliner cabin cruiser is scrap. worst part is the boat is still a beauty and runs great.

Thanks a Million fellas. 218-280-0442

It's going to be tough to find, have you tried Twin City Outboards in Shakopee, MN. ?

Otherwise I can sell you the whole boat if you want....same boat too grin.gif

Believe ir not there is also a place called (I think) Twin Cities Marine in Wisconsin, near the twin cities. Do a search. I cannot recall the town etc. but they seemed to have a pretty deep inventory. crazy.gif
