hawgTime
After the UNBELIEVABLE weather and GREAT fishing this winter, I could icefish indefinitely. I'll be bummed when it ends.mJay
SpikeRoberts
I'm with you hawgtime -- despite the late start it ended up being a great season. I know I've got at least one more trip in me --I'll be in Alex this weekend and will drop a line.

OLY
Ice fishing is very addicting, and I'm an enourmous addict. I wish it would stay 30 degrees and sunny forever.
Guest
Hawgtime,There's nothing like watching a bobber go down a hole in the ice. There's nothing like trolling a crawler harness on the St. Louis river. As much as I long for ice fishing I look forward to the spring time walleyes, big pike in the summer and shooting ducks in the fall. That's what makes MN great. I couldn't imagine living somewhere that didn't have four seasons. good luck Ukes
TUMBLEWEED
See what you guys did!!! It is snowing likecrazy outside. fishinphyl
Hey Tumbleweed - I agree with you! I just shoveled 2-3" off the driveway an hour ago and there must be almost another inch on there now! Now I don't like to ice fish so get your voodoo doll ready - I'll even make the dress!!!!! ------------------Phyl
FreeFlySpy
I worked my way around a crappie hot spot with about 75 other people last weekend.People were just jumping in fishing out of my holes I augered in 1/2 hour earlier. Ice looked like swiss cheese. Yep I am ready for the open water. Its been a good year but no fun when the late season pressure comes.

SpikeRoberts
OK so last week I was all for continued ice fishing, but I got my last weekend in and now I'm ready for winter to be gone.Went out on a good note though -- fished Lake Agnes in Alex and iced some mighty fine perch including my first two over 11" -- not too bad considering I'd never really fished for them intentionally before. Guest
I used to be in the same boat as you guys, but now I realize we must be crazy!!! I just got back from Longboat Key, Florida. It was absolutely beautiful. 80+ degrees everyday. Went fishing, we caught a few shark, and a lot of warm sun!!! Went scuba diving and saw all kinds of snook, some well over 10 pounds. It was nice. I come back here on early Monday morning and look what we've got, 8 inches of snow. BRING ON THE SUMMER!!! Good Luck,Rusty[This message has been edited by Rusty (edited 04-02-2002).]
Raven
Am heading for Leech Lake for perch in the morning and then crappie on Sunday at a lake near where I live. Can't have enough ice. Had to buy a 4-wheeler to pull my shelter, but that's alright! Still want to make one more run up to LOW before the ice goes. Love it. I have a sign next to the door that says "Work is for people who don't like to fish". And that works for me!
