I purchased a mounting plate with the round spot on the back for the GPS puck to sit on for use with my Lcx 17m. I thought it would be nice to have the Graph and puck together, so it could all come off at once. I noticed right away that it wasn't going to work well, It would constantly lose signal while on the water. After a couple trips I decided to move the puck and what do ya know...problem fixed.
If anyone out there is looking at purchasing one of these for your set up, my advice is to save your money and use the GPS attachments that come with your unit to mount it in a clear area with no obstructions.
Has anyone else had this problem with the mount attachment, or am I the only one?
Personally I think they should put a notice on the package saying..."Mounting GPS Puck to this attachment might interfere with satelite signal causing it to lose it's ability to navigate"...
