Which Battery for Graph?

My current depthfinder is run from the trolling motor battery (up front) with the starter battery running all other electronics (bilge, livewell, and running lights). I'm upgrading the graph and figure now would be the time to change this if that's not the way it should be. Any problems with running the graph and trolling motor from the same battery? FWIW - I don't use a trolling motor all that much ... mostly drifting or trolling with the 40 HP.

I was advised by the dealer to leave the trollng motor on a circuit by itself. That way you wouldn't get interference on your sonar from the trolling motor. Not an expert, just what I was told.

You'll have similar issues if you run the trolling motor while you're using your locator.

I'd run a wire back to the battery with an inline fuse.
