Antlers are starting to grow!!

Had a couple of deer cross the road in front of me this morning and one of them had one inch 'knobs' on his head!!! Time to get the trail cameras out!!

Cool! Got mine out on Monday. I was trying to wait a minimum of two weeks but may have to check this weekend when I'm in the area.

You bet! Haven't seen one this year yet but most years this time of the year during turkey hunting I see several. Couple years ago we saw a dandy that was already past the brow tines with some dandy bases during 5th season which would correspond to this Wed.

I've had my camera out all spring, and I could first start to see antler growth around April 15-20th. Right now antlers are maybe 2-3" in length. I'm planning to keep my camera in the same spot all summer to keep tabs on a certain buck that i hope made it through the winter.
