Gadgetman
Plugged in my Lowrance global map 2000 and turned it on and the message" NMEA not responding" comes up on the screen. What do I have to do to solve this problem?
0 twista04_86
If you just hooked up your GPS and it has an external antenna, I'm pretty sure it means the antenna isn't getting power so check your connections.
0 Try Too Fish
Im not familiar with the 2000 but on my lcx 18 it was no power to the nmea cord. there 3 wires on mine for the nmea power. a red (+) a black(-) and a sheild (-). I hooked them up and all was well! If yours uses the lowrancenet connectors there needs to be a power source for it also!
0 fisherdog19
If you have a T connector, or any other type connectors, make sure that none of the unused ends are capped with the specific fuse available from lowrance.
0 Gadgetman
The 2000 is an older unit so not network thing going on. I hitched it up the same way I always have, havent monkeyed with any wires at all. depth unit still fires up and works fine just the GPS doesnt respond
0 marine_man
Have you checked all associated fuses / in line fuses? There's a chance you puck has it's own inline fuse, depending on the installation...marine_man
