how do I get green carpet mold or mildew out of my boat carpet?

I believe 3M makes a product you can put on to prevent it...

I would think you could just use a good carpet shampoo and that will remove it. Then spray on the 3M stuff and it won't come back.

I'm guessing it is in a rod locker that is not water-tight?

Pressure washer.

Get a super hot sunny day to dry it well.

Jump inside and start from bow to transom. Be sure to leave drain plug open.

I would mix up a mild bleach and water solution first to kill the mold. Spray that on the affected areas and let it sit for an hour or two - then hose it out. The mold (or moss - or whatever it is) usually grows where there is an accumulation of dirt or something for "food". Tree sap makes a great incubator for mold.

Last year I used a combination of carpet cleaner and Oxyclean, worked great!!

All above work,I found the bleach best,but once the mold spores are there you'll have to keep cleaning depending on your situation,It will come back!
