Ely Lake Expert
Scoot, I don't know where you would buy a pair, but I do understand why you are asking.Throw a rapala behind them and they work great.Ely lake expert
Guest
Planner boards rule. The get your lures away from the boat. It almost heards the fish to you. Superlines don't work very well because the superline usually slips through the clips. I'd go with off-shore boards. Try Cabelas.
fiskyknut
ScootKeep an eye on HSOList as I see them on there now and then. I have used offshore's for 4 years with 10, 14, and 20# fireline and powerpro braids for trolling both cranks and snapweight/bouncer and spinner rig's with no troubles at all. Get some and you will get you're money's worth out of them....They do work and have a permanent place in the boat!Fisky
Scoot
I posted this elsewhere, but go no response. Does anyone have any used planer boards that they don't use? If yes, I'm interested in buying them. They have to not damage superline. If no one has these and wants to get rid of them any suggestions as to where is the cheapest place to get a pair of Church's or Off-Shore planer boards? Thanks,Scoot
minneman
I own a pair of church boards and have had no problems with superlines, I have also heard that people with the offshore boards are changing theline clips to chuch clips so they dont slip w/superlines, sorry scoot Im holding on to mine, bought them at scheels fgo, about 18$ back then
Guest
I've used Yellow Birds for years and love them. However, replace the little red line release with one of the alligator type clips. They are not going to break the bank, you'll save time and frustration by buying new. Guest
Yep, Yellow Birds were the cheapest and have caught me several fish. They are also small and they don't take up any space in my boat, and they are very easy to use.
