Does anyone know how well the older Steeltex R4S match up with the newer Transforce HT. I am trying to match up my spare with another, but they dont make the Steeltex anymore.

I think as long as its just a spare getting the correct size should sufficient.

I believe the transforce were built to replace steel tex so you should be good to go.

Well, what I'm trying to do is put my spare and another matching tire on the rear of my F350. Then using one of the used tires as a spare. Does anyone out there have an older Super-Duty with a Steeltex spare under it that would want to sell? I think from what was explained to me by a tire dealer is the two tires are very similar, but first I would like to match up the exact tire.
