You can go for a while before you se any thing, then bang. Shad come threw and other fish follow them. Really neat!

P.S.

Look at them times on top of frames. The shad came threw first and then the cat and carp (or posibley same fish). Right after.

my wife is upset with me since i started to watch this cam she said "not only do you go fishing all the time and watch it on tv but now you are going to watch fish swim by on a camera that is no where areound here".. i tried to explain that this is fishing research but i don't think she is buying it

That shad cam is pretty cool. Saw lots of schools of shad so far, no bigger fish following yet.

Do you think those could be lamprey?

It's definitely a lamprey...sea lamprey to be precise. The HSOforum stated that you'll see them moving upstream at night.
