Planer Boards

Looking to pick up some planer boards to use on Big Stone, anyone have a brand/kind they would recommend?

off shore brand without a doubt..get the flag spring kit also that comes seperate..let's u know if u have a small fish on or weeds on your lure

Off shore brand is hard to beat and the spring flag is a must as well. Church tackle however, has some boards that are nice as well. I actually picked up two of both brands just for different applications. The Church tackle brand has a nice quick release in the rear and also an easy weight change for precision trolling. I know that the taddle flag is available for this brand as well.

I use Church boards...but I wish I had Offshores

Thanks for the info. Anyone ever use the minis by Church? I heard they can be the ticket in certain applications.

The Mini Boards work nice for calm waters, slow speeds and small cranks. If you don't have any boards, I'd buy the big ones before the mini boards.

I have 4 Offshore boards, if I get 2 more it will be a toss-up between Church and Offshore. They're both good but I think Offshore are better, expecially for your first set or two of boards.
