how do you do this?? I have an 01 Yammy big bear 400. I haul water to horses in a 55 gallon nurse tank and it squats the wheeler pretty good so I want it stiffer. I know it can be done, but I can't find my manual yet, and don't know if I need a special tool or ????....

Use a "spanner Wrench". I have heard, "NOT experienced" channel lock pliers break the brittle casting.

I used a spanner wrench on my Polaris and it was not in the kit with the unit. They are cheap at a dealer, under $15 so I didn't risk it.
