While installing my transducer I noticed a large nick in the cable right by transducer. It was probably rubbing all last year and I didn't notice it when I removed it. I assume that it's still working as it was when I pulled it off. What's the best way to protect the cable? I can see the insulated wire inside. Some kind of silicone, tape, or something else? Shrink tubing won't fit over the transducer. Any idea's?
We went to the flats too. I dipped a tire on the rental car onto it just to say I’ve been there, but it was still pretty soft from winter melt. After seeing some moron in a BMW suv get dragged out of the muck I had no intention of repeating his stupidity.
