0 brunziej
I have the Pinpoint System 7 on a boat I purchased used 2 years ago. It includes a bow mounted trolling motor with a transducer built in, and two sonars. One on the bow and one on the console. They are all networked together. So I can chose to use the transducer on the bow or stern on either unit. That is the best feature.I would give it mixed reviews as far as the sonar units are concerned. I used to own an Eagle Utlra III and found that much easier to use. I've read the manuals many times, just didn't find it to be to user friendly. I just bought a Lowance GPS/Sonar that I plan to replace the unit on the console with. And will keep the unit on the bow and use the transducer on the trolling motor. The thing I don't like the most about the system is the trolling motor. It has a feature that you can track a depth and it is supposed to keep that depth. I guess it may work if the lake is very flat. But haven't found one of those lakes yet. Most of the time it just starts going in circles. And the other people fishing in the boat start giving me dirty looks and think I have been drinking too much. Think of replacing it with a Minkota with auto-pilot. I used to have that on my previous boat and miss it.
0 croixeyes
I have a 7520 and ran it for 5 years. Its a very nice graph, the scroll speed on it is outstanding. There are alot of buttons on it but some of them are for upgrading to gps.I have since went to lowrance cause I like the color graphs, but im keeping my pinpoint for a backup.
