Lowrance LMS-522C iGPS/Sonar Combo

I'm thinking about buying a Lowrance LMS-522C iGPS/Sonar Combo. Does anyone have one? I'd like to know what you think about it? Are they worth the money? Can I use my LakeMaster and Navionics with it?

I bought one of these this year and have limited use but it has worked well. I have the LM 07 chip and it works fine, and it should also work with the Navionics. I also have had no problems with the internal GPS, it even works in my garage. I know the previous generation of these (lms-332) did have some problems with the iGPS but so far so good for me.

Thanks John. One other question I have. Does it show speed??

Yes they will show GS or ground speed. You just have to turn it on in the overlay data menu.

The 332 does not have an internal GPS antenna and has had very few problems with aquiring a satellite signal compared to the 334's.

There are some people still having problems aquiring a satellite signal with the 334.

Hopefully the New 522 doesn't have those issues only time will tell.
